June 1st marked KeepCalling’s 14th anniversary, a day that…
SMX events represent the biggest Search Marketing Conference Series worldwide, that’s why KeepCallers have attended numerous editions in the past few years, both in Europe and in the States. Since search marketing is by far the biggest area of digital marketing, everything that happens at Search Marketing Expo happens on a large scale.
SMX London 2016 took place between 18-19 May and meant three days of SEO, SEM, and Online Marketing sessions that guaranteed practical tips and techniques meant to improve the search marketing efforts of professionals all around the world.
With sessions designed to serve a diverse search marketing audience, the topics were tailored for everybody’s needs, whether they were involved in SEO or SEM, and whether they were veterans or beginners in the field.
Some of the most popular subjects debated were the most successful search tactics and techniques, the changing landscape of search marketing, audience engagement, content, and keyword research.
International Telecoms Week or briefly ITW seems to be one of our favorite conferences, as this is the 6th year in a row when KeepCalling representatives attend this landmark event.
ITW is the annual meeting point for the global wholesale telecommunications community and offers various networking opportunities through meeting rooms, an integrated exhibit and bilateral table area, numerous receptions and provides a wide range of conference sessions for attendees to benefit from.
The KeepCallers that were present at the conference in Chicago attended presentations and met current and potential telecom partners. The agenda included presentations delivered by companies such as Google, Apple Computer, BBC World, or Microsoft. They also sent us their greetings live from the event.
One year after launching its first SIM service on the UK market (Tello.co.uk), KeepCalling introduced Tello.com, a wireless service especially designed for the US. The new network was designed as an alternative to everything Americans complain about when it comes to mobile providers and is tailored to its customers’ needs.
Another great thing is that there are no fees whatsoever (no activation fee, no early termination fee, no access fee, no overage fee) and no contracts. Customers are free to stay with Tello.com for as long as they like.
Tello.com offers national plans, but also credit for international calls at great rates. Customers who choose Tello.com can bring their own phones or they can buy new ones from the website.
April 2016 marked KeepCalling’s participation in MVNOs World Congress, the most important meeting place for MVNO professionals all over the globe. Over 600 participants from 70+ countries gathered in Amsterdam to meet and develop business partnerships.
MVNOs World Congress is the perfect medium where decision makers, buyers and sellers active in this market can gain first hand knowledge and learn how the key players innovate. Formal and informal networking sessions complete the presentations and workshops agents and help participants meet potential business partners.

What’s the most smashing conference a Web Designer can ever attend? SmashingConf Oxford, of course! This is why Silviu, one of our great Web Designers, recently took a trip to the prestigious UK town.
SmashingConf took place between 14 – 17 March and meant 4 days of innovative presentations and practical workshops. CSS, web performance, and current best practices were the most popular subjects discussed during the two conference days.
The speakers were handpicked designers, developers, web architecture engineers, and even psychologists.
The interesting workshops focused on responsive design, performant websites, CSS architecture, and motivation & persuasion design techniques.
There is no greater event in the mobile industry than Mobile World Congress. KeepCalling has attended MWC since 2013 and can testify that every year the conference gets bigger and better. This year, Vlad, our lucky Telecom Specialist, took the trip to Barcelona to keep us updated with the future of the mobile environment.
MWC needs no introduction, either to industry professionals or to mobile fans. What is more, this year’s event was the most successful one yet, so we can conclude that MWC 2016 was the best mobile event in history!
This obvious conclusion was reached due to a number of key facts:
- over 100,000 attendees from 204 countries enjoyed the event
- MWC was covered by more than 3,600 members of the media worldwide
- over 2,200 companies participated in the exhibition, showcasing the most varied types of devices and apps
- the huge exhibition benefitted from MWC Tours, led by industry experts who offered guided tours
- a top-notch programme including presentations by 374 speakers (among them Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and F1 driver Lewis Hamilton) continuously amazed the participants
In August 2015, KeepCalling was included in Inc. 5000’s ranking of the fastest growing private companies in America for the fifth time. The position KeepCalling occupies in this year’s top 5000 is #1816 and #35 in the telecom companies ranking. Furthermore, KeepCalling is the 3rd fastest rising telecom company in Georgia, the state where it was founded.
The number that dictated these positions is a 219% sales increase registered between 2011 and 2014, which brought the company’s revenue to $47.5 million. This acts as proof that KeepCalling keeps growing its business and increases its popularity constantly.
The goal that Inc. 5000 magazine intends to accomplish by putting together such a comprehensive list is to help readers get a broader and deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape, as well as recognize the merits of leading American companies and entrepreneurs.
Earlier this month KeepCalling donated $3000 to Wikipedia, the world’s largest free encyclopedia, supporting its efforts to make information and knowledge available for free to people all over the world.
It’s already become a tradition for KeepCalling to donate to Wikipedia, as this is our fifth donation in six years. Donating to Wikipedia is a tradition we care about, because we all use it and this is the best way to give something back.
14 years, 35 million articles in 288 different languages, 500 million unique visitors per month, and the story goes on. Wikipedia can only survive through donations, so KeepCalling played its part in ensuring it stays free for everyone to use.
KeepCalling chose to contribute to Wikipedia because it promotes knowledge, it’s free and easy to use, and it can give an answer to almost any question. No wonder it’s the 7th most visited website in the world!
2015 is the beginning of a new fruitful partnership between KeepCalling and Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, Romania.
KeepCalling partnered with the local faculty of Economic Studies to sustain the Marketing major of the university. The support came in many forms, but the most important aspect was that KeepCalling made a pledge to pay the tuition fee for 30 students enrolled to marketing courses.
The 30 students who will benefit from KeepCalling’s sponsorship would not have received state funding otherwise.
Besides the pledge to pay for the tuition fee, KeepCalling also promised to actively participate in students’ training, workshops and any other program meant to prepare students for their future career.
