KeepCalling joined the fight against Coronavirus
The Coronavirus pandemic hit us all, whether in Europe, Latin America, or the US. Rich or poor, educated or not, employed or not, people around the world had to re-arrange their routine, work from home (some even lost their jobs), isolate themselves, and try to go on with their lives.
During these hard times, KeepCalling took several brave measures and decided that all its employees could work from home in order to stay safe, avoid the commute, and isolate themselves to stop the spread. Moreover, it soon became clear for KC that the fight against Coronavirus needed all the financial support it could get, so in April money was donated to help the local hospital in Sibiu, Romania, where KeepCalling has its headquarters.
The Sibiu donation
- $9,000 was raised by employees and KeepCalling doubled it >> over $18,000 donated
- The money was used to buy protective equipment for the medical staff, intensive care beds, and several medical devices needed for Coronavirus patients
- The money was donated to two institutions: 50% went straight to the Sibiu hospital and the other 50% was donated to “Fundatia Comunitara Sibiu”, a local NGO focused on equipping the hospital with all the supplies needed.
$1 donated for each Mobile Recharge transaction
In spring, KeepCalling’s mobile recharge websites ran a campaign donating $1 to the fight against Coronavirus for each order placed. In May, $15,000 was donated to the Indus Hospital’s COVID Relief in Karachi, Pakistan. KeepCalling’s CFO has been “a personal supporter of this hospital for the last few years, as I have seen some great work that they have done for the needy people in my country, Pakistan.”
Donations in Cochabamba
Our Bolivian office joined the fight against Covid in August. They donated $30,000 to four different institutions that needed financial support. The money was used to buy protective medical clothing, safety glasses, disinfectants, as well as medical equipment needed for coronavirus patients.
