A day in the life of a Customer Support Representative
Curious to find out what the daily life of a Customer Support Representative looks like? Meet Oana, Customer Support Assistant at KeepCalling! Oana is in charge with a variety of online and offline tasks in her daily work, highlighting the fact that a CS rep’s job is anything but boring! In addition to her professional life, she also has a number of personal habits that she loves.
Here is what her typical schedule looks like…
I usually wake up at 7:30-8:00; if it is a gym day, I wake up at 6:00. On my days without gym, I wake up to make my coffee first, so it has the perfect temperature when it is time to drink it and make myself a nice big breakfast. I also prepare a big bowl of veggies and fruits for my lovely bunny pet, as we eat together every morning.
If I have time, we also sit on the balcony to enjoy the fresh air. On my gym days, after I finish doing my exercises (7:00-8:00) I go home, and have coffee and breakfast (bunny included).
I am a volunteer at a cat shelter in Sibiu, PAN Association, and during my breakfast, I check all the messages we receive on social media (I do this 4–5 times during the day). One of my other responsibilities is to create texts to promote our cats and the association.
I work from 11:30 until 20:00, and I enjoy a good walk from home to my office and back. After I get to work, I turn on my laptop, put on some music, and get a bottle of water. I check my tasks for that day, my emails, and also the chat discussions to put myself up to date.
Depending on the tasks I have that day I either approve orders and check that my colleagues take their breaks, emails, and calls accordingly, which means that day I am a shift coordinator. On other days, I have to call customers who opened disputes with us (chargebacks), or inform the customers that the number they recharged received the credit (MR tickets).
After I finish my shift, I go straight home and usually drink a glass of cold rosé wine with my husband and chill with the bunny, so I have strength for the next day. My mornings and evenings are the same most days, but I do enjoy these repetitive little things.
