Winter charities at KeepCalling
This end of year has been pretty busy when it comes to KC donations and employee fundraising to support our communities. Let’s go through some of the most recent actions.
KC Auction in Sibiu raised over $2,000
One of our favorite charity events ever kept us on the edge of our seats for 90 minutes straight. We bid for items brought by our colleagues and raised over $1,000 that were then matched by the company, so KC will donate more than $2,000 to several causes dear to our hearts.
This year’s KC Auction managed to raise 2.5 times more money than last year. The hosts had great auction chemistry and made everyone feel relaxed, generous, and useful, with an auctioneer’s boldness that we could not have predicted. Jokes were also flying all around.
KeepCallers brought many nice and useful personal objects giving them a second chance. And workshops were also well appreciated. From gift wrapping and hair braiding to WordPress, upcycling and collage art, they gathered many enthusiasts around different themes.
Niños con Valor… the story goes on
Remember our friends from “Niños con Valor” in Cochabamba, the NGO that works with HIV patients and kids without parents? They manage two orphanages for boys and girls and a third one for youngsters above 18 ready to enter University. This time we donated clothes and school supplies for the kids there, to help better their living and school conditions.
We have been helping them already for a couple of years with half of the costs for the school supplies they need each year. Even if the kids go to state schools, many things are needed to attend classes and our help is highly appreciated.

Christmas in a box: 33 happier kids
Christmas in a box 2019 is the new version of the Letters to Santa program we had going on for a few years until now. This year, each KeepCaller will prepare a gift box for a kindergarten or primary school child containing:
- something they definitely want: toys, sweets
- something they needed: hat, scarf, socks, gloves, school supplies, etc.

Christmas decorations fair
Another Christmassy tradition we always enjoy is the already traditional Christmas decorations fair organized by UCOS, a local NGO in Sibiu supporting children with autism and their families. KeepCallers purchased Christmas decorations handmade by the kids and their teachers to help develop the program.
