Volunteers on tree-planting Rotaract project
In April 2012, KeepCalling employees participated in a tree-planting event organized by Rotaract Sibiu, a Rotary International division. The event took place in Rasinari, a mountain area in the center of Romania, Europe. A group of specialists from KeepCalling volunteered to spend their Saturday out in nature, planting pine seedlings.
The international organization known as Rotary registers now 1.2 million global members, who commit to Service Above Self. It comprises more than 34,000 clubs worldwide, whose members volunteer in local or foreign communities. Their main projects revolve around education, job training, clean water, hunger, health and sanitation, as well as polio eradication.
KeepCalling team of employees joined forces with volunteers from other companies, and planted pines in the beautiful mountain area close to Sibiu, Romania. Each pine got a name for future remembrance, and KeepCalling was one of them. Hard work was easily complemented by friendly interaction among everyone present, turning an environmental action into a community meeting.
KeepCalling’s contribution lines up with the company’s social responsibility principle, and completes the other charity efforts oriented towards educational projects and sport events.
