Diakoniewerk Center
December 2012 was a busy month in terms of charity events. Among other social projects, KeepCalling supported Diakoniewerk Sibiu, a day care center dedicated to the social integration of people with disabilities. The donation consisted of raw materials for their daily work, which is manufacturing candles and other ornaments.
The center hosts different activities, creating desirable contexts that allow a more natural and progressive integration into society of the working-people with disabilities. All the products manufactured are handmade and have been displayed within different local fairs.
Diakoniewerk center dates back to 2007, when the first 10 persons were integrated into the program. It offers services oriented towards professional experience and specific skills for individuals lacking common physical dexterity or psychological adaptability.
KeepCalling joined forces with Diakoniewerk to support the daily workflow in the day center by offering raw materials for the manufacturing of candles and other home and office decorations. Thus, KeepCalling supports the continuity of the activities in the center and its valuable human resources.
KeepCalling’s action lines up with the company’s social responsibility principle, and complements the other charity efforts oriented towards working opportunities within the local community.
