KeepCalling offers lunch to 13 children in need
KeepCalling’s first donation in 2014 goes to the Romanian organization Maini Unite (“United Hands”). This NGO offers lunch to 13 children with serious financial difficulties, each Friday at noon, through a successful project called “A hot meal”. Each meal comprises 2 courses and costs $2.5 for each child. KeepCalling donated $250 to this cause, which will cover for the meals of all 13 children for 8 weeks.
Some of the children enrolled in this program come from needy families which Maini Unite also helped in the past, while others were recommended by the social services in Sibiu, Romania. The 13 children are aged between 2 and 12. In addition to eating a healthy lunch, they also talk to the organization’s volunteers, who are members of the association, and who feed the little children. For a few hours a week, the children enjoy a warm, friendly atmosphere and, of course, a hot meal.
Maini Unite is an organization initiated by a group of young mothers in Sibiu, Romania, united by the desire to offer their children and all children in general a harmonious physical and psychological development. The mission of the founders of this NGO is to ensure a healthy life from all points of view for children, families, and the community. Their conviction is that children deserve the best of everything, from health to education and from culture to human rights.
KeepCalling’s donations illustrate the company’s social responsibility policy. One of the company’s goals on a local level is to support NGOs and charitable initiatives taking place in the countries where KeepCalling’s offices are located. “A hot meal” is just one of KeepCalling’s many charity actions in the past few years.
