KeepCalling donates to Hogar de Sueños

Hogar de Sueños was founded in 2006 by an American minister and his family. DaRonn Washington, his wife Angie, and their four children now provide a loving, caring home environment for children at risk. To date, 53 children have received their help. Currently, 14 children call this place home. They are boys and girls aged 7 – 12. Due to the statistical realities regarding age, sibling groups, and special needs, these children will most likely never be adopted into families, therefore they grow up until the age of 18 in this house at which time they will leave the orphanage.

Hogar de Sueños is a safe environment that gives these kids the possibility to dream of a future and a good life. The Dreamers are growing in a healthy environment, being loved and receiving all the things they need.

2015 Easter Donations

This Easter we donated $1,000 to Hogar de Sueños so they could buy school supplies, books, and backpacks for the children. Our Bolivian colleague who coordinated this donation said “It’s impossible to visit the shelter and not fall in love with the children. You can clearly see that they are loved there and you know they have a bright future ahead with all the help they get.” It takes a lot of work and commitment to support all the children in this institution and KeepCalling’s contribution ensured they would be able to study for another school year and forget about financial concerns.

2014 Christmas Donations

We couldn’t forget one of our favorite charities on Christmas, so we donated $150 to them to help them organize a delicious Christmas dinner for the children.

July, 2014 Donations

This July, KeepCalling donated $500 to Hogar de Sueños. The current donation covers for the inauguration of a Creative Educational Resource Center, which will allow children’s access to materials meant to help them grow, learn, and express themselves creatively.

Through this initiative, the orphanage founders intend to make creative and educational resources available for the children by installing an organizational system of plastic bins on shelves full of different materials like: books, colored paper, art supplies, building blocks, didactic toys, games, etc.

2014 Easter Donations

Our team in Bolivia decided to spread some happiness and to help children in Hogar de Sueños celebrate Easter. In order to do this, they collected food and contributed to a nice Easter meal.

2013 Christmas Donations

Before Christmas, our Bolivian colleagues raised money which they intended to donate to a few charities that they appreciate. The sum was doubled by KeepCalling, thus making it possible to help more charities. Hogar de Sueños was on the list, so with part of the money collected, KeepCalling was able to purchase food (sugar, rice, oats, etc) for the children in the shelter.
